Grand Re-Opening of the Lubeck Branch

THE GIVING CUP PRESENTS DONATIONS TO BENEFICIARIES

Williamstown Bank held a Grand Reopening Celebration of its Lubeck office on Saturday, June 26, 2021. The office opened in early 2020, before being closed to the public in March of 2020 because of statewide shut down orders due to Covid.

During the celebration, the Bank provided free food, inflatables, door prizes, along with full banking services and the opportunity to try the Giving Cup, the coffee shop located inside the Lubeck Office.

The Giving Cup is a 100% donation-based coffee shop within the Lubeck Office of Williamstown Bank. When visiting The Giving Cup, both customers and non-customers can choose which non-profit organization the donation goes towards, and as a “thank you” for your donation, you receive your hand-crafted beverage of choice. Through these donations,The Giving Cup has been able to provide benefits to the Lubeck Elementary School, the Lubeck Area Volunteer Fire Departments, and the Children’s Home Society of WV, with all three beneficiaries receiving a check during Saturday’s event. President and CEO SharonAnderson highlighted the totals received through the Giving Cup,

“All of our Giving Cup beneficiaries met their goal of $1,000 or more, with a total of $4,092 being presented on Saturday alone! We also have crossed a milestone with donations, as we have surpassed over$10,000 in total donations received since opening. As a community bank, we believe strongly in supporting our local community, and we are proud to say that 100% of all donations received at the Giving Cup go to the beneficiaries.”

“We are honored to be one of the recipients of yours and the community’s generosity. I am very touched that the community values our work to bless us this way. These funds will be used to support the work of our permanency program. When children and youth come into care unexpectedly there are immediate needs for the child, as well as the family, and these funds help us meet these emergent needs. We want to thank you and the Lubeck area community for this wonderful gift. We are humbled.”
