What should I do if my Visa Debit Card is lost or stolen?


If you notice your card is missing during normal business hours, please call one of our offices at (304) 375-6262 or (304) 375-3021 or (304) 973-1442 or (681) 588-0702 and ask to speak to one of our Customer Care Representatives.

If it is after normal business hours, please call (844) 202-5333 to have your card restricted. This will prevent anyone from using your Debit Card and we will order you a new card.

What are the cutoff times for transactions?


For determining cutoff times and availability of deposits, every day is a business day, except Saturdays, Sundays, and Federal holidays. All transactions received during normal business hours in the bank’s lobbies and drive-thrus Monday through Friday will be processed that same day. All transactions on Saturday will be processed the next full business day. Deposits made at the bank’s ATMs and ITMs will be processed on the current business day until 4pm; deposits made after 4pm will be processed on the next full business day. Deposits made through Remote Deposit Capture or Mobile Deposit will be processed on the current business day until 4pm; deposits made after 4pm will be processed on the next full business day.

Are Williamstown Bank depositors insured?


All deposit accounts at Williamstown Bank are insured up to the limit allowed by the FDIC.

For which holidays does Williamstown Bank close?


Williamstown Bank observes all holidays observed by the Federal Reserve. Those holidays are: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. We always post in both offices, and on our Facebook page, when we will be closed or operating under different hours several weeks before the holiday.

What should I do if my account information is stolen or compromised?


You should call one of our offices at (304) 375-6262 or (304) 485-1717 or (304) 973-1442 or (681) 588-0702 and ask to speak to one of our Customer Care Representatives as soon as you realize your account information has been stolen or compromised so we can put all necessary blocks and protections in place. We will typically ask you to come to one of our offices to sign some paperwork and open a new account. By opening a new account and closing the old, we can better protect you against fraudulent items coming through your account. We will work with you to ensure your accounts and information are protected and that proper procedures are followed.

How do I know if an email, phone call, or text stating it is from Williamstown Bank is valid, or in an attempt to obtain personal information from scammers?


Williamstown Bank will NEVER ask for personal information through an email, text, or phone call. Should you ever receive an email or phone call asking for information such as your Social Security Number, Date of Birth, Account Number, Debit Card number, verification code, etc., please contact one of our offices at (304) 375-6262 or (304) 485-1717 or (304) 973-1442 or (681) 588-0702 so we can be aware of the scam. Any emails you receive can be forwarded to customerservice@wiltown.com so we can research the origins and put any necessary alerts out to our customers.

How secure is your online banking services? Does Williamstown Bank offer Mobile Banking?


Williamstown Bank takes the security of our customers’ information very seriously. Our Digital Banking system provides multiple layers of authentication to help ensure our customers’ safety. Digital Banking passcodes must be changed every 90 days, and upon logging in, customers will be asked an additional security question. We even monitor what IP addresses and browsers you use and we attempt to contact you if we see any abnormal activity. Our Digital Banking provider is continually making security upgrades to ensure the safest possible online banking system for our customers.
